Armed Silence – Sweden’s Children Are Not Safe

Sweden, October 2025. Shootings are down – but violence is mutating. Up to October 4th, 84 shootings have been reported. That’s a 40% drop compared to the same period in 2024. But behind every number is a child ducking, a mother afraid to let her child go to the youth center, a father who stays silent to avoid becoming the next target.

Meanwhile, explosions are rising. 104 blasts so far this year. Threats. Extortion. Fear. The violence has changed costume – but not its victims. It’s still civilians who suffer. It’s still children growing up in the shadow of terror.

And just hours ago in Gävle, six young adults were shot in the city center. No deaths – yet. But how many lives must be shattered before we stop calling this “a challenge”?

"ليست الرصاصات وحدها التي تصيب، بل الصمت بعدها هو الأكثر إيلامًا."

السويد، أكتوبر 2025. انخفضت حوادث إطلاق النار – لكن العنف تغيّر شكله. حتى 4 أكتوبر، تم تسجيل 84 حادثة إطلاق نار. هذا انخفاض بنسبة 40٪ مقارنة بنفس الفترة من عام 2024. لكن خلف كل رقم طفل يختبئ، وأم تخاف أن ترسل طفلها إلى المركز، وأب يصمت كي لا يصبح الهدف التالي.

في المقابل، ارتفعت التفجيرات. 104 انفجارات حتى الآن هذا العام. تهديدات. ابتزاز. رعب. العنف غيّر شكله – لكن الضحايا لم يتغيروا. لا يزال المدنيون يعانون. لا يزال الأطفال يكبرون في ظل الخوف.

وفي جافلي، قبل ساعات فقط، أُصيب ستة شباب في وسط المدينة. لا وفيات – حتى الآن. لكن كم من الأرواح يجب أن تتحطم قبل أن نتوقف عن وصف هذا بأنه "تحدٍ"؟
